As the spire stabilized, Talyth placed the Scroll of Tarrasque Summoning and the Scroll of Comet in her pack.

Dre'zel, my love,

As we raced from the Tower of Enchantment toward the mythallar, nothics and magen rushed toward the familiar howling of yeti that sounded the arrival of the Frostmaiden’s army.

Alturiak 2, 1489
Dre'zel, my love,

When we reached the Tower of Evocation, with its top shaped like an axe blade, we found it was completely covered in scorch marks. Once Talyth completed a Detect Magic ritual, we found the doors were unlocked, and the interior walls were at least as scorched as the exterior.

Dre'zel my love,

The albino Tiefling’s frozen corpse lay shattered at the bottom of Skydock Spire. The only thing that remained was Avarice’s staff, which had fallen with her and lay nearby.

Dre'zel my love,

Ignoring JoJo’s question about any of them feeling sick, Huarwar continued as he walked off, “I think it would behoove you to come and speak with Avarice.” Then he turned to JoJo and added, “If you see my mother, tell her I love her.”

Dre'zel, my love,

While Talyth, Taimen, and I waited for Duke Ulder to emerge from the miniature tower of conjuration, JoJo, Rock-Rowan, the Shield Guardian, and Princess Skullcrusher waited outside of the actual Tower of Conjuration.

Alturiak 1, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

As Rowan and I spread out in an attempt to track the nothics, and the rest of our companions waited in the courtyard near the bridge to Ythryn, three six-foot-tall glowing translucent blue hands emerged from around the buildings where Rowan, still in the form of a polar bear, had been sniffing around.

Icewind Dale 37: The Drow Encampment

Alturiak 1, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

Just as the two drow warriors disappeared around a bend in the large cavern, five giant spiders appeared, scrambling down from the walls.

Icewind Dale 36: Sustenance

Alturiak 1, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

After examining the dead wraith, Drakareth’s, makeshift ice-crypt, which contained nothing else but the soaked and crumbling remains of old and now illegible spellbooks, we made our way back to the Netherese tower to rest.

Icewind Dale 35: The Cave of Hunger

Midwinter, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

After defeating the flameskulls and the kobold vampire spawn, Talyth sprinkled holy water over the remains, and Duker Ulder examined the contents of the iron safe.

Icewind Dale 34: Into the Caves of Hunger

Midwinter, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

At the command of Queen Bjornhild Solvigsdottir, JoJo’s birth mother, dozens of tiger tribe warriors threw their spears toward us. Most of the spears fell short or wide, but one grazed me.

Icewind Dale 33: Deadwinter

Midwinter, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

Stepping out of the Tiny Hut, I cast Speak with Animals on Hell’s Teeth, the black coated alpha of the sled dogs, explaining that the pack would be fed and taken care of, but that we had a dangerous journey ahead, and should we encounter trouble, she needed to lead the pack to safety.

Icewind Dale 32: From Targos to the Caers and Beyond

Hammer 29, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

Once JoJo composed himself, we agreed to enter Targos—despite Vellynne’s objections—to replenish our supplies and check in on things since the speakership had transferred from Naerth to Ma.

Icewind Dale 31: Not Dead Yeti

Hammer 29, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

I was gasping hard as we fled the now collapsing Grimskalle, Auril’s abode, where we had stolen The Codicil of White.

Icewind Dale 30: Grimskalle

Hammer 27, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

As we began to descend the long, spiraling stairway, its railing lined with ice mephits, to the level below, where a deep voice had asked, “Returned already, my queen?” I asked Talyth if she needed healing before continuing on.

Icewind Dale 29: Island of Solstice

Hammer 27, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

Angajuk shuddered as we breached the surface and saw the island of Solstice encased in fog, floating to the north. A massive, crowned skull was faintly visible far off through the mist.

Icewind Dale 28: Under the Sea of Moving Ice

Hammer 26, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

We all climbed aboard the boat that was strapped to Angajuk's back and were encased in a bubble as the whale submerged. Inside the bubble, we were able to breathe and were shielded from the freezing temperatures in the Sea of Moving Ice.

Icewind Dale 27: From Jarlmoot to Angajuk's Bell

Hammer 22, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

As we peered into the tomb revealed under Jarl Reggaryarva’s throne, Talyth cast Cure Wounds on JoJo and me before we all descended the giant steps, except for Taimen, who stayed above with Princess Skullcrusher.

Wearing the Hat of Disguise to appear as Chief Yarb-Gnock, Twig took to his new role quickly and began ruling over his newfound servants, mainly telling them to bring him more drink.

Icewind Dale 25: Snakes and Liars

Hammer 20, 1489
Dre'zel my love,

With Naerth waiting at the bottom of the stairs, surrounded by his guards—some clearly frightened and others frost-bitten and staring blankly—it was clear that Skath had led us into a trap.
