Gruffudd blasted two Redspawn Firebelchers to pieces with Call Lightning. Camwise blasted a Redspawn Firebelcher with his Wand of Lightning Bolts. Advancing toward the dragon, the Hill Giants tossed boulders at it. Aaqastal rattled the Fire Elemental with Confusion. Dameron sprinted toward the dragon. The Redspawn Firebelchers closed in on the Abyxrla.
Balthasar used his Gaze of Conviction of the Fire Elemental. Abyxrla struck at the Iron Bands of Binding. The Fire Elemental slammed Balthasar with Wildfire. Jaervellios struck a Redspawn Firebelcher with an arrow. A lightning Bolt blasted Balthasar and the Fire Elemental. Advancing toward the dragon, Gruffudd drank a Potion of Superior Healing. Camwise destroyed a Redspawn Firebelcher with a Lightning Bolt. Still advancing on the dragon, the Hill Giants continued to hit it with rocks. Aaqastal struck Abyxrla with a Conductive Lightning Bolt. Dameron destroyed a Redspawn Firebelcher with a Crushing Haymaker. The last Redspawn Firebelcher belched on the Iron Bands, breaking them and freeing Abyxrla. Quaffing a Potion of Superior Healing, Balthasar slashed into Abyxrla, tattling her. Abyxrla clawed into Balthasar. Jaervellios sprinted toward Abyxrla. Camwise was struck by Lightning. Hopping on an owl, Gruffudd flew toward Abyxrla. Camwise sprinted toward Abyxrla. Still advancing on the dragon, the Hill Giants continued to hit her with rocks. Floating across the river, Aaqastal slew the rattled dragon with Magic Missiles, destroying the Fire Elemental. While the Daring Friends took a short rest, slowly harvesting Abyxrla’s hide, the Hill Giants fought off hobgoblins, bugbears, and a manticore. Dameron pointed out two glowing gemstones in Abyxrla’s hide, and Camwise confirmed they were magical. Camwise had Balthasar cut off Abyxrla’s horns. Shortly after they finished taking a short rest, Lord Jarmaath informed them that the enemies had breached the walls. The Daring Friends approached the breach, where they found many hobgoblins, goblins, and manticores. Tayna was manning the walls with her Lionsguard. They summoned the elves to assist. Dameron cast Bless on himself, Gruffudd, and Balthasar. Gruffudd cast Daylight from a scroll. In the sky, the elves dealt with the manticores. Scaling the walls, Balthasar dashed across the rooftops. Climbing onto the barricade, Dameron cast Spiritual Weapon. Teyna shot down some hobgoblins. From a rooftop, Jaervellios shot a Hobgoblin Warpriest, who hit him back with a Guiding Bolt. The Hobgoblin Squads sprinted forward and were blasted by Camwise Fireball. Gruffudd covered the Hobgoblin Warpriests with a Sleet Storm. The Hill Giants threw rocks at the enemies. Balthasar blasted a Hobgoblin Squad hiding in an alley with Shatter. The soldiers threw spears. Climbing onto a roof, Dameron blasted a squad with Sacred Flame. Teyna shot the incoming squads. Falling back, Jaervellios shot a nearby squad and released his dancing saber. The Hobgoblin Warpriests maneuvered through the Sleet Storm. The Hobgoblin Squads threw spears at Dameron and the soldiers. Jumping off the roof and landing prone, Camwise blasted four Hobgoblin Squads and a friendly Hill Giant with a Lightning Bolt. Gruffudd cast Spike Growth in an alley where he heard someone sneaking. Two Veteran Swordbreaker Skeletons appeared next to Camwise, attacking him with swords. The Hill Giants continued to throw rocks, destroying one of the Hobgoblin Squads. Striking the rooftop, Balthasar destroyed the roof, dropping him and two Veteran Swordbreaker Skeletons and slashed into them with Rufus. The soldiers struck at the Hobgoblin Squads. Moving across the roof, Dameron blasted three Hobgoblin Squads to the north with a Flame Strike. Teyna and the Lionsguard destroyed a Hobgoblin Squad. Casting Blight on a Hobgoblin Squad, Jaervellios slashed at them with his Dancing Saber. The Hobgoblin War Priests maneuvered out of the Sleet Storm. The Hobgoblin Squads attacked the soldiers while those to the north climbed the roof and engaged Dameron. Moving through the Spiked Growth, the Invisible Hobgoblin Annihilator cast Cone of Cold on three Hill Giants. Camwise blasted a Hobgoblin Squad and the Hobgoblin Annihilator with a Lightning Bolt, killing the nearby Hill Giant. Gruffudd summoned an Insect Plague to attack the nearby hobgoblins, destroying one squad. The Veteran Swordbreaker Skeletons swung at Balthasar. The Hill Giant chief smashed the Hobgoblin Annihilator, while the other two Hill Giants threw rocks at the Hobgoblin Warpriests and the one to the south smashed more hobgoblins. Slipping through a window, Balthasar slashed into a Hobgoblin Warpriest with Rufus and caught him in his Gaze of Conviction. The soldiers threw spears down the causeway. Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers emerged from the windows and attacked the soldiers. Dameron cast Spirit Guardians, destroyong two Hobgoblin Squads. Teyna and the Lionsguard attacked the Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers. Using his Elusive Mity Step, Jaervellios drank a Superior Healing Potion. The Hobgoblin War Priests flanked Balthasar, one of them dying in the Insect Plague. Camwise evaded a Hobgoblin Squad with his Mirror Image. A Hobgoblin Squad attacked Dameron. A Hobgoblin Squad attacked a Hill Giant. A Hobgoblin Squad threw spears at Gruffudd, who defended with Earth Barrier. More Hobgoblin Squads advanced, some killing a Hill Giant to the south and others emerging from the Sleet Storm. The Hobgoblin Annihilator blasted the Hill Giants with a Fireball. Camwise hit a nearby Hobgoblin Squad with Shocking Grasp and retreated. Dropping Insect Plague, Gruffudd cast Wall of Fire, engulfing three Hobgoblin Squads and the Hobgoblin Annihilator, making him visible. The Hill Giants threw rocks at the Hobgoblin Squads. Balthasar gutted the last Hobgoblin Warpriest. Turning, the soldiers struck the Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers with their spears, killing one of them. Meanwhile, one squad of soldiers fell to the Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers. Striking a Hobgoblin Squad with his Spiritual Weapon, Dameron hit a Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserker with Sacred Flame while a Hobgoblin Squad fell to his Spirit Guardians. Leaping onto the roof, Jaervellios shot one of the Hobgoblin Squads. Hobgoblin Squads threw spears and advanced. The Hobgoblin Annihilator blasted the three Hill Giants with a Fireball. Camwise blasted two Hobgoblin Squads with a Thunderbolt. Gruffudd blasted two Hobgoblin Squads with an Ice Storm, destroying one. The Hill Giants pulverized the hobgoblin Annihilator. Balthasar blasted three Hobgoblin Squads with Dragon Breath. The Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers dropped a Hill Giant. Trying to blast a Hobgoblin Squad with a Sacred Flame, Dameron smashed a Hobgoblin Squad with a Spiritual Weapon. Teyna attacked the Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers. Jaervellios struck down a Hobgoblin Squad. Two Hobgoblin Squads flanked Balthasar. Camwise struck a Hobgoblin Squad with a Fire Bolt. Gruffudd cast Thunderwave, knocking a Hobgoblin Squad off the roof and killing them. The Veteran Swordbreaker Skeleton and Hill Giants struck at each other, while the Hill Giant Chief struck a Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserker. Balthasar slashed into a nearby Hobgoblin Squad with Rufus. The Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers killed soldiers and the Hill Giant Chief. Hitting A Hongoblin Squad with his Spiritual Weapon, Dameron turned the two Veteran Swordbreaker Skeletons and climbed down to the barricade. Quaffing a healing potion, Teyna. Jaervellios shot the last Hobgoblin Squad as it was attacking the soldiers, just before it fell to Dameron’s Spirit Guardians. Camwise blasted the last two Bugbear Blood Ghost Berserkers to pieces with a Lightning Bolt. The manticores were all slain by the elves, and the immediate battle was over. The hoard was slowed, some of the Hobgoblin Squads making their way to the marketplace. Lord Jarmaath consolidated his forces near Cathedral Square. As Jarmaath was speaking telepathically, he was cut off. A scaled assassin was spotted on the roof of Discreet Departures and was grappled by Rezyrius as he was about to shoot down Lord Jarmaath. By the time the Daring Friends arrived, Rezyrius slew the assassin. They all gathered in the Morningglory Temple, where Lord Jarmaath was being attended to. Captain Ulvert informed them that Wyrmlord Kharn was headed toward them.
