Fishy Phoenix

K,

Since regaining my freedom, I've been toiling away in the docks of Meletis, trying to keep a low profile. But recently the city was devastated by Thassa's wrath. The Twelve have requested emissaries travel to her allies to secure disaster relief in the form of food and supplies for the reeling refugees. When I heard one of those destinations was Neolantika, I felt compelled to sign up. I wonder if I will see you there. Have you moved on? Are you still alive?

Captain Phillipos' Fishy Phoenix was a fair enough vessel with a hardy enough crew. I was joined by Drena, a human bard, Rogos, a Triton sorcerer, Maia, a Centaur ranger, and Anekdotos, a Minotaur warrior. A motley group of guardians for sure.

It wasn't long before we found trouble, or rather it found us. Some massive sea creature began chasing us, surely one of Thassa's vassals sent to prevent us from mitigating her destruction. It sent waves upon us, whirpools, and ear-splitting sounds. Fortunately, Anekdotos and I quickly took control of the oars and were too fast for the krakken. We propelled our craft to safety, but lost some of our crew in the process.

Days later, we encoutered a becalmed ship. As we approached, we could see it was badly damaged and the crew appeared to be in need of rescue. They consisted of humans and tritons, and a closer inspection revealed that the former were prisoners to the latter. But we had to free the prisoners, so we fought the tritons as they tried to board us, eventually defeating them and taking on the survivors to our crew.

Soon after, while camped on the shore, we were surrounded by fog and tritons emerged, seeking revenge. But alas, they were no match for us and soon fled before our might.

Among the treasure we claimed was a ring. For some reason it reminds me of you. I can see Neolantika on the horizon.

Matthias
