Red Hand of Doom - Session 36: Preparations in Brindol

July 25-26

Over the next two days, the Daring Friends made preparations in Brindol.

Dameron cast Sending to Warklegnaw:
"It's Dameron. How goes it, my friend? Are you able to assist us in the Voiceless Peaks to break any Red Hand alliance with giants?"
Warklegnaw’s response:
"Gifts were hurled upon their marching lines, some time ago now- I am well, your cure was true. Of what giants alliance do you speak?"

Dameron cast another Sending to Warklegnaw:
“Glad you are well. No giants invading from Voiceless Peaks. Only invading giants are already with Red Hand horde. We are defending Brindol. Be well!”

After consulting with Seyora Goldenmien, and admitting that, although St Aster speaks to him regularly through visions, he has never cast Commune before, Dameron cast Commune:
1) Are the Red Hand forces in the Dormant volcano with the fire giants?
2) Are the Red Hand forces in the valley with the Hill Giants?
3) Will any other giants from the Voiceless Peaks align with the Red Hand against Brindol?
The answer was No to all three questions.

Camwise cast Sending to Rezyrius:
"Good sir Dralkenwhyte. I will scry on you. Please do not be alarmed; Daring friends will rescue you!"
Camwise cast Sending to Rezyrius:
"Good sir Dralkenwhyte; tell me what you smell and hear around you. Balthasar has a nose."

Rezyrius told Camwise that he's been kept alive and, for the most part, whole. He's been tortured, but they're keeping him alive as a sacrifice to Takhisis, a celebration on the eve of their triumph.

Camwise cast Scrying on Rezyrius.

He was in a large room lit by torches attached to the iron railing of a walkway that circles the room. There were short flights of stairs that led up the walkway, and there were prison cells that made up the "walls" of the room. The cells are filled with filthy straw.

At the center of the room was a well-stocked torture setup. Chains and ropes hung from pulleys and hooks, manacles, clamps, cruel hooks, all are present. There was a rack, an iron maiden, and a strange metal tank which all round out the morbid furnishings of the place.

Camwise cast Scrying on Ulwai and saw that she was still with the horde.

The night of July 25, Camwise hosted a night of drinking at The Mirthful Minotaur.
